Sin and the Bones

By: Jakob Martin

Why do they make it so hard?
Why do they make it so hard to get by?
Honestly I, feel like I'm taking a chance on my life.
I just want to see the world.
I just want to see the world on my own.
Flying by night,
flying by freeways and exits and streetlights.
Yeah and I swear,
to the night,
I won't forget just what this feel like.
And my friend,
in the fight,
soon you will know,
no one can phrase it just right.
When we come,
to our own,
out of that storm,
yes you will know,
when we come to our own.

Well I shout a curse to the wind.
How could I ever have been so uptight.
Breathing out fire
Now I'm the candle that dances in your eyes.
Yeah, under the sin and the bones,
under this packaging we call our homes,
baby we'll find,
something we wanted is here on the inside.
Yeah and I swear,
to the night,
I won't forget,
just what this feels like and my friend,
in the fight,
soon you will know,
no one can phrase it just right.
When we come,
to our own,
out of that storm,
you will know when we come to our own.

To our own.
Oh oh oh oh.
Oh oh oh oh.

And I swear,
to the night,
I won't forget,
just what you feel like and my friend,
in the fight,
soon you will know,
no one can phrase it just right.
When we come.
to our own,
out of that storm,
yes you will know,
when we come to our own.
